A Merry Christmas from Contactless Intelligence

We would like to wish all of our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy News Year (the mistake is deliberate!).

Thank you for tuning into Contactless Intelligence and being willing to speak to us at conferences, exhibitions or even on the phone! We have been amazed at how our new format has taken off in 2012 and we plan more upgrades and surprises in 2013 – so stay tuned.

Our Christmas app recommendation

We spend so long looking at software, applications and implementations that we decided to have a little fun this holiday season. So this season’s app recommendation has nothing to do with contactless, NFC, payments, banking or any of that. Instead it’s a new way to send emotion-filled messages to your friend, family and loved ones.

The little Christmas message that you see above was made possible through a new app called Zoobe Cam Eve which allow users to generate a 3D animation movie with a customizable background and, after recording your message, will move the avatars body and synch their lips to match the intonation of the voice recording. Actually, when you think about it, pretty impressive stuff for a small iPhone app.

This 30 second video can then be sent via email, SMS (with link) or uploaded to Facebook or YouTube.

The iPhone app is available for kids (Zoobe Cam) with teddy bears, rabbits and cats. We chose the grown up app to appeal more to our audience and because we think cats are evil.

You can find out more by visiting the app store and searching for Zoobe Cam and Zoobe Cam Eve, or visiting the web site.

And with that all we can do is wish you all a very, very Merry Christmas!

Normal service will be resumed on the 3rd January 2013
